Red Brick Arts Centre and Museum

The Red Brick Arts Centre and Museum is over 100 years old, and houses a school room and principal's office museum, 141 seat theatre, art gallery, gift shop, Family and Community Support Services, and a resident dance company, Essence Dance. The facility is also used by various other organizations, community groups, and individuals.

Thousands of people have been through the Red Brick's doors since construction began in 1913. The Red Brick was Edson's first school and was used as one until 1967, when it became a bus and maintenance shop for the Yellowhead School Division.

In 1984 the Red Brick faced demolition after the school division moved to a new facility. A group of concerned Edson citizens formed ECHO - Edson Cultural Heritage Organization, to save the community heirloom.
